My Story
From High-Tech Executive to Functional Health Practitioner
My journey started in the high-paced, high-stress world of tech, where work-life balance was an afterthought. I thrived on long hours, thinking sleep was a luxury and that stress just sharpened my focus. I stayed active, ran miles every week, and believed I was healthy, even though my body began sending me signals I brushed aside—fatigue, brain fog, high blood pressure, and rising stress levels.
It wasn’t until my own child’s health struggles stopped me in my tracks that I began to question everything. When my son started showing signs of fatigue, doctors quickly prescribed antidepressants, but the root cause remained unsolved. Eventually, after pressing for answers, we discovered he had a thyroid dysfunction. But even then, the advice was to wait until things got worse before starting lifelong medication. This approach didn’t sit right with me. I knew there had to be a better way.
Driven by the desire to help my son, I immersed myself in learning about Functional Medicine. Over four years, I studied nutrition, hormone balance, gut health, and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition. Along the way, I uncovered my own health issues that I’d been ignoring—my gut health wasn’t optimal, my hormones were out of balance, and I’d been dismissing my own body’s signals for far too long.
This journey changed everything for me. I realized that symptoms aren’t the enemy; they’re messages from our bodies asking us to listen. We live in a world that often treats symptoms with quick fixes, masking the true issues. But true healing requires digging deeper, listening, and allowing time for the body to rebalance itself naturally. I discovered that what’s “healthy” for one person may not work for another, and that real health isn’t about following a trend—it’s about honoring your body’s unique needs.
Leaving the tech world, I opened my clinic with a mission to guide others through their own healing journeys. Today, I’m dedicated to helping others understand that wellness isn’t one-size-fits-all. Together, we’ll find the root causes of your symptoms and create a personalized path toward balance and vitality. I’ve learned firsthand that healing is a journey, not a destination, and that true health is about listening, learning, and nurturing your body with patience and care.
